Use of The Movie Database (TMDB) data
Hooza uses data from TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Your use of Hooza therefore also involves compliance with TMDB’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
Why we process your data (Purposes) & legal bases
- Account creation and login — to provide the service you request (performance of a contract).
- Security and fraud prevention (e.g., IP and timestamp logs) — to protect accounts and our platform (legitimate interests).
- Legal compliance — to comply with applicable laws and enforce our terms (legal obligation).

How long we keep data (Retention)
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Security logs (IP addresses and timestamps) are kept only as long as necessary for security, abuse prevention, and legal/regulatory requirements. When you delete your account, we delete or irreversibly anonymize your personal data unless we must retain certain information to comply with the law or resolve disputes.
Sharing & processors
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted service providers (processors) who help us run Hooza and who are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data and act only on our instructions.
International transfers
If personal data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms, and we assess the transfer’s risks where required.

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your data (e.g., encryption in transit, password hashing, access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to continuously improve our safeguards.
Children
Hooza is not directed to children under the age required by local law to provide consent to online services. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide a prominent notice (for example, on this page or via the app).

Hooza uses the TMDB API. TMDB trademarks and logos are the property of TMDB. Use of Hooza must comply with TMDB’s terms and policies.
Suspension and termination
Hooza may, at any time, remove or delete an account for suspicious behavior, abuse, violations of these Terms, violations of our Privacy/Cookie policies, infringement, or other lawful reasons. We may preserve information as required by law.
Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is not permitted by applicable law.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Note: Deleting your account permanently removes your personal data from active systems (subject to any retention required by law).
